Newsletter – June 10 2006

Well, it’s been another busy week at WhirlwindTraffic, and I’m pleased to say that our weekly lottery is finally up and running! For those who don’t know, all pro members (Whirlwind/Tornado accounts) are put into a weekly draw for 5000 hits from a third party traffic supplier. Following some new developments, that 3rd party happens to be our very own HitsEmpire.com. Yes folks, we are now a traffic reseller as well as a Traffic Exchange (WhirlwindTraffic.com, HardRockHits.com), a URL rotator (HitSpinner) and a URL shortener/cloaker (The URL Doctor). When you add in another 10 or 20 miscellaneous sites it’s quite a little empire we’re building there!

And The Winner Is…
Our inaugural winner of 5000 hits is James Mather. James is one of our Foundation (Lifetime) members. Please send an email to admin@whirlwindtraffic.com with the URL you would like us to send 5000 hits to. The traffic will be mainstream popunder traffic.

HardRockHits
As I mentioned above, we’ve just launched our second Traffic Exchange – HardRockHits. It is quite different to WhirlwindTraffic, not only in look and feel, but also in its purpose. WhirlwindTraffic’s main aim is to deliver a broad range of traffic to our Pro users and of course provide lots of quality traffic for our free users. We’re building a major traffic network over there. Opening up niche sites and sending our Pro members’ banners to them.

HardRockHits has a more traditional role, but leans a bit more toward having some fun at the same time. It has some surfing games where you can win credits whilst surfing, and for our Pro members you get the chance to get even more credits by getting the opportunity to click on the banners for credits from time to time. The other major difference with HardRockHits is that we only do annual memberships over there. By offering only annual memberships it actually allows us to keep the cost down a bit because it is a very consistent, fixed price. I find that annual subscriptions are a lot easier to manage when I can afford them. I just pay once and then I’m set for the whole year. We have free memberships too of course and the surfing there is a lot of fun. You might even catch me on the ‘Surf’n'Chat from time to time. Hope to see you there!

Sometimes It’s The Little Things…
I had an email the other day from one of the many marketers that like to send me all manner of offers, freebies etc. You know how it is … there’s some good and some bad. Anyway, the gentlemans name is Garrie Wilson. I originally got onto his list by downloading his 250 free private label articles (they’ve been really useful on our Whirlwind network sites). Anyway, I received another offer in my email .. it was a fairly good package of e-books for just $10. I went to the website and started looking through them and I found that 2 of the links were bringing up an error. So, being the good samaritan I am *grin* I emailed Garrie straight away and let him know. Now I didn’t expect anything .. a thanks maybe .. but would have been happy enough just to know I helped him out. To my surprise, I received an email back from him with a download link to download the package I’d been looking at for free. It was Garrie’s way of saying thanks.

Now .. the point I wanted to make. It pays to be one of the good guys and to take notice of what your customers are doing and saying. That single act of ‘thanks’ from Garrie Wilson prompted me to tell you all about him. I really hope a few of you visit his website. These are the sort of people that I really like to support.

My Tip For The Week
Write it down! Yep .. that’s it. If you get an idea in your head .. something you might like to sell or something you think will increase your sales then write it down! I’ve lost count of the number of good ideas I’ve had and then they’ve just slipped my mind completely. Now I have a permanent todo list. It’s getting darn long but I can guarantee you I will get to each and every one of those tasks eventually!

Good Surfing and Enjoy the Weekend!
