The following 2 entrants won the WWT Who/What Inspired You contest. Congratulations to both members!

Peter Gibney

At 67 years of age and barely subsisting on a tiny pension I had sunk into a deep, deep rut.  I just about existed on a tiny pension. While I knew I could make a decent living in my former profession as a financial advisor I was totally demotivated by the financial crisis of 2008.   I was convinced that the catastrophe was created by the greed of bankers and fund managers who shamelessly put their clients’ hard earned cash at great risk just to make themselves rich.

I started to surf the Internet and was astounded at the plethora of get rich schemes that were available.   Clearly some (possibly even the majority) were scams but how was I to know which?    I tried a few but quickly realised that I was wasting my time and money simply because I did not understand the jargon or the abbreviations that littered the pages I read.   PTC., PLR., OTO., HTML., HYIP and the rest were gobbledygook to me.   Most still are!

I joined countless teams and enlisted with a number of so-called gurus but all had two serious flaws.  I frequently got stuck and turned to my mentor for help and either got no response or received a reply from an auto-responder to a question I had not asked.  Also, in every case, I was required to ‘sell’ exactly the same product, via exactly the same media and using exactly the same materials that thousands before me had tried – and failed.

At my wits end, I finally came across Bernard St. Pierre who you probably know better as Ben480 and who advertises himself as ‘The Dying Guru’.   Bernard does not suffer fools gladly so you need a thick skin to work with him.   If something you do is c…p he says so!   But in 3 months of working with him I have learned more about this business than all my previous efforts combined over a 2 year period.  His system is not easy (for a newbie) to put together and he insists that you do the hard work yourself, but he gives clear answers to all questions and, so long as he sees you are trying, has immense patience.   Most importantly he encourages me to stamp MY personality on everything I do!

My new business is finally taking off and I am confident  that, at last, I am on the right track to make serious money, thanks to Bernard.

Larry Miller

Hi my name is Larry Miller and I have been involved with Internet Marketing for a few years. At first I did not even know where to start on Internet Marketing,I have learned more from Paul Counts than any other marketer alive.

Paul always looks for ways a newbie can make money without having a big wallet and most of the methods he teaches are free. Paul has made two newbie Video courses that have changed my direction and success.

The first course I learned from Paul was the nomoneysystem. It’s a video course where he teaches many steps to making money on the net without spending a penny.  These where all ‘look over his shoulder’ as he performed many Internet marketing tasks such as traffic methods and article marketing and not once, did he throw in any fluff or plugging his own projects.

The other course I have learned from Paul was his Traffic Generation Coaching course which was over 12 hours of video training that details many traffic methods that are not well known but are free also.
Paul is helping many people online, because he teaches what is needed without holding anything back he is a no fluff kind of guy and a great Internet marketer and trainer.

Paul has given me a good direction for my future along with the knowledge for success. Thanks Paul Counts for everything you do and please keep up the good work.

Peter and Larry, it’s great to read your success stores. Thanks for sharing!

After reading about Peter and Larry’s experiences, I realized mine was similiar to theirs too; however, I also learned a great deal about internet-marketing on my own – especially the major portion of technical information.

Being hungary to conquer the cyber business world, I was constantly absorbing information from many sources. I learned from a lot of bits and pieces of information that were usually floating around as just scuttlebutt from the confused newbies.

However, I almost always ensured that I’d walk away with some useful information from almost everyone I met and from every program I tried. After all, everyone brings something different to the table by having a variety of opinions and concepts.

Having a wider expanse of knowledge just might give you the necessary creativity to stay ahead of the competition, or it just might give you the innovation to resolve an old conflict that has been a nagging stalemate in limbo!

I’m 55 and feel that time is a very limited resource. I don’t have 20 years to slowly learn something new and then still have to implement a bunch of changes. I was injured in a work-related accident and then 6 months later I also acquired an illness to slow me down even further.

That happened in 2005 and then in 2006 I became ill. Since then I started learning internet-marketing on my own; although, I have learned some things from a few gurus too.

Most people don’t realize that it’s very difficult to educate yourself. It requires a very high degree of discipline, persistance and patience. Anyway, I taught myself many technical skills like how to use HTML, how to build a website, and how to make a splash-page or write an ad-letter.

I did these things because I knew I couldn’t afford to purchase any software or hire someone to do it for me. My wife and I went broke after trying several MLM programs and getting scammed, conned and down-right lied to about how this program was a “win-win” opportunity and impossible to lose with, or how that program was a “no-brainer!”

I was always a day late and a dollar short and could never seem to afford the appropriate tools, advertising sources or the upgrade that pays the higher commission.

I finally started getting money to come in from working the traffic-exchanges and we also have a couple of other programs that are now just starting to produce for us. I’m trying to head towards article marketing since I have some writing ability.

The most important action I took was making up my mind that I was going to learn as much as it will take! I’m still learning, but I’m way ahead of where I started!

My name is Joyce Radford, I have been working onling for almost 6 yrs. now, Like the stories of others, I too have lost a lot of money on different programs. I found two mentors in Joe Sansoucie and Chase Swift. Chase holds a class everyday Monday tho Friday in a web room where he teaches different ways to work online. I have learned how to help others from the two of them and now I help others learn how to start making money online. You hear so many things about how you can just turn your computer on and start making money. But the truth is you have to have the tools and knowledge to work online. It make it easier when you have someone showing you the way. It is nice to know that there are still people who care enough to give to help others succeed. I wish everyone who reads this much success in the business you are in. You need two things to succeed online that is to brand yourself and to build your list.
